MOHAWK BATS COME UP SHY AGAINST SHENANGO

SHENANGO, PA- Both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound on Wednesday, but Shenango was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Mohawk on Wednesday. Vinny Pezzuolo started the game for the Warriors and recorded 15 outs.

One bright spot for the Warriors was a single by Jay Wrona in the first inning.

Zach Herb was credited with the victory for the Wildcats. The ace surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Pezzuolo took the loss for Mohawk. The hurler allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five.

Wrona, J.J. Nail, Mason Hopper, and Jacob Werner each collected one hit to lead Mohawk.. The Warriors were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. A.J. Verdi made the most plays with five.

Shenango had six hits in the game. Braeden DAngelo and Braden Zeigler all managed multiple hits for Shenango Varsity Wildcats.
