A WILD ONE FOR MINERAL RIDGE

MINERAL RIDGE, OHIO- After being down 11-3, the Mineral Ridge Rams pulled off the improbable comeback to beat the Lowellville Rockets 14-13.

The Rams scored three runs in the fifth, led by a two run home run by Jackson Geddes, three runs sixth innings, plus another four runs in the bottom of the seventh to seal the victory.

At the plate the Rams were led by Triston Valley, who had three hits, Gino Novello and Trey Rigley, who had two hits each.

The winning pitcher of the day was Xavier Klamer, who allowed five hits, four runs, and sat down seven batters. Klamer also knocked home the winning run of the game.

The losing pitcher of the day was Dylan Okular, who pitched a beauty allowing three hits, four runs, and had four strikeouts before being relieved by Cody Nolfi and Brady Bunofsky. The pair of relief pitchers allowed a combined total of seven hits, 10 runs, and four strikeouts.

The Rams will look for another big win when they take on Sebring on Wednesday as the Rockets will look to bounce back when they take on Western Reserve on Wednesday.
