A2Z AND ROTH BATTLE TO TIE

STRUTHERS, OH- In a back and forth effort from both teams, we encountered our first time-limit draw on Wednesday evening between A2Z and Roth Brothers at the 14U level.  The game ended after the fifth inning with the score 6-6.

Roth Brothers fired up the offense in the first inning. Luke Gehring drew a walk with the bases juiced, scoring one run.  In the top of the fifth inning, Roth Brothers felt deja vu when they tied things up at six. PJ Scott drew a walk, scoring one run.  Gabe Saunders would walk 3 times in the game and collect a stolen base, while CJ Frasco and Andrew Kali each scored twice.

Johnny Cambert led the way for Roth on the bump with a pair of strikeouts and a pair of walks in three innings pitched while giving up 6 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits.

A2Z  tallied five runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by was led by Braden AdamsChris DenneyMatt Boccieri, and Blake Jeffries, all driving in runs in the inning.

Aiden Thompson and Joe Aey threw in relief of Braden Adams.  The trio combined for 8 strikeouts, and nine walks while scattering two hits throughout the game.
