ASTRO FALCONS TAKE NABF SOPHOMORE TITLE IN COMEBACK FASHION

STRUTHERS, OH- The Astro Falcons reign supreme as the newly crowned World Series Champions of the NABF 14U world!

The Astro Falcons went back and forth, battling with Release Baseball for six grueling innings until they were able to blow the game open in the top of the seventh inning, with some help from three ill-timed Release errors, and seal the World Series-clinching game away.  Stephen Tarnoci recorded the final five outs of the game to record the win for Astro.  Sal Corbo suffered the loss in relief for Release, surrendering the winning runs in the seventh inning.
Dom Fornataro was the Astro started, yielding four runs on three hits in three innings, striking out two and walking three.  Dylan McElhinney spelled Fornataro for 2 1/3 innings, allowing two runs to score on three hits while striking out and walking one batter each.  Kyan Barned took the rubber to begin the game for Release, giving up four runs on four hits in just over four innings of work, striking out three and walking six.
Brock Lowry, the World Series MVP, lived up to the billing for Astro, slugging three hits, including a triple, scoring twice and driving in two runs.  Anthony Miller, named best pitcher of the World Series, recorded two doubles among his three hits and scored three times.  AJ Havrilla had a hit, a run, and two RBI while Fornataro contributed a two-run single and a run scored to the Astro effort.  Ben Slanker touched home twice for Astro in the victory.  Dylan Daetwyler had two hits for Release, one of which being a two-run double, and also scored a run in the game.  Corbo had a hit and scored twice.  Joey Canzoni, named as the best hitter in the World Series, drove in two runs for Release.
