AVALANCHE SWEEP SATURDAY TWIN BILL

STRUTHERS, Ohio

Sitting at second place in the Hernandez Division, the Avalanche took part in a pair of divisional matchups Saturday morning.

GAME 1

Knightline (5-11) started the scoring in the top of the second when they had a man reach on an error who would later come across to score off an Andrew McRoberts triple to deep right field. McRoberts would later score himself thanks to an RBI single by Aiden Thompson.

A leadoff walk from Richie Preston saw the first man reach, then a passed ball and a steal of third allowed Austin Ward to single home their first run of the ball game. Julian Trott would then put down a bunt single before both Trott and Ward would be bunted into scoring position.

After Reese Henderson would draw a walk, a basehit by Lucas Cummings saw everyone advance a bag to knot things up at 2 before a 2RBI double from Jake Mattocks saw the Avalanche take their first lead of the game.

The Avalanche would go on to score an additional 5 runs in for the game, securing their first victory of the day, 11-4.
