BEARS BEAT BULLDOGS, BATTLESTAR GALLACTICA
LEETONIA, OH- Leetonia came into tonight’s matchup (4-3) coming off a 48-27 win last week against Lisbon. For East Palestine, they came into the game (0-7) losing to Southern Local 57-0.
To open up Leetonia’s senior night, Leetonia’s Jorden Baker took a kickoff return deep into the Bulldogs territory. Baker’s return later led to a Marco Ferry rushing touchdown to put the Bears up early 7-0 which would be signs to come for the Bear’s offense. The Bulldogs first drive would be only one play which resulted in a fumble and recovered by the Bears, giving them great field position. The Bears would finish the first quarter handling the Bulldogs 28-0. During the second quarter, Leetonia’s quarterback Dylan Lennon would throw his only touchdown on the night to Jorden Baker and Leetonia’s Dylan Durick would contribute two touchdowns to put the Bears up 41-0 to end the half.
The second half would be a low scoring affair. Leetonia’s Dylan Durick and Jacob McCool would be the main running-backs as Durick would score the only touchdown for the rest of the game to bring Leetonia a win against the Bulldogs 48-0.
Leetonia will advance to (5-3) beating East Palestine which falls to (0-8) on the season. The Bears head on to face United next week as the Bulldogs will face Conneaut.
