BEAVER KNOCKS HOME SENIOR DAY WIN
BEAVER PA- Beaver came out swinging and never let up, riding a monster day from Abby Hojdila to a 13-6 win over Central Valley on Tuesday.
Hojdila lit it up with four RBIs, going deep to right in the first to clear the bases and set the tone early. She wasn’t done—later in the seventh, she roped a double to tack on another run as the Bobcats poured it on late.
Olivia Peabody helped fuel the hot start too, slapping a two-run single in the first before Hojdila’s three-run bomb made it 5-0 before Central Valley had a chance to blink.
Central Valley tried to answer with some power of their own, launching solo and two-run homers in the second and third to chip away at the lead. But Beaver kept their foot on the gas.
The knockout blow came in the seventh when the Bobcats put up five more runs. Hojdila’s RBI double kicked things off, then Rhiannon Rabassi smashed a two-run homer to center, and Bridget Mayo followed it up with a two-run blast of her own.
Jaedyn Brown went the distance in the circle, grinding through seven innings while scattering 10 hits, striking out seven, and walking three. It wasn’t perfect, but it was gutsy—and it got the job done.
Peabody finished with five RBIs and three hits, leading a lineup that cranked out 13 knocks. Hojdila, Springman, Marino, and Mayo all chipped in with multi-hit games, and Beaver was flawless defensively with no errors. Hojdila led the charge in the field with seven chances.
Central Valley tallied 10 hits, including a pair of long balls and a handful of multi-hit efforts, but couldn’t keep up with Beaver’s firepower.
