BEAVER LOCAL CAN’T CATCH UP TO ZANESVILLE
ZANESVILLE, OH- Beaver Local struggled to get their offense going on Saturday, getting easily dispatched by Zanesville, 10-0.
A single by Ryan Cunningham in the first inning was a positive for the Beavers, one of 5 hits on the day for Beaver Local.
Darrick Gibbons led the Zanesville to victory on the mound. He allowed five hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out five and walking one.
Dorian Jackson took the loss for Beaver Local. He surrendered five runs on three hits over five innings, striking out two.
Cunningham, Hunter Saltsman, Ethan Stephenson, Dalton Curran, and Avery Wiegand all had one hit to lead Beaver Local.
Zanesville racked up eight hits. Slade Norris, Ben Everson, and Brody Rutledge all had multiple hits for Zanesville. Zanesville stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Norris led the way with three.
