BEAVERS EARN COACH LOWE’S 200TH WIN

Beaver Local welcomed Harrison Central to the Beaver Dome Monday night and just as they have done the previous six contests the Beavers sent their opponents home in defeat.

The Red & White celebrated their 8 seniors winning in straight sets 25-14, 25-15, 25-13. The win marks their seventh straight and in doing so gave Head Coach Sarah Lowe her 200th career victory.

Lowe commented on her career milestone “I feel privileged to have reached this milestone but in reality it belongs to my coaching staff and everyone who has played in my program over the past 13 years for Beaver Local Volleyball.” The victory on senior night made it extra special for Lowe “Celebrating this moment in my career is extra special. Having the ability to celebrate it with these 8 seniors makes it that much more memorable.”

Grace Hill led the way up front with 11 kills. Elizabeth Kolkowski, 5 kills and 5 blocks, knew winning tonight was special “Winning tonight meant a lot to us seniors; we got ahead early and never looked back.” Brooke Talbot once again filled the stat sheet contributing 8 kills, 2 blocks, 10 assists, 5 digs, and 7 aces. Kodi Kinsey’s 17 digs and Bailey Bowesock’s 7 digs solidified the defense in victory. Senior Lexi Schrieber also described the feeling on a senior night victory “It was just so exciting seeing everyone so happy to be together knowing we were playing as seniors.”

Beaver Local (12-1) looks to continue celebrating Tuesday night at home welcoming the Brooke Bruins.
