BEAVERS LEAVE NO DOUBTS AGAINST EAST LIVERPOOL

The Beavers picked up a MASSIVE rivalry victory against the East Liverpool Potters 48-0 on Friday night.

The game started a little slow offensively, as both teams were forced to punt to start the game. The Beavers drew first blood on a 5 yard TD pass from Austin Cline to Dorian Jackson. That would be the only score in the first. Following another Potter punt, the Beavers capped off another TD drive with a 17 yard TD run by Austin Cline, silencing some “Overrated” chants from the opposing fans. Then as the first half neared an end, East Liverpool fumbled the ball inside their own 5 yard line for it to be recovered in the end zone by Zane Mccoy, and all of a sudden Beaver Local lead 21-0 at half, and shock fell over the entire stadium.

The Potters were slated to receive the second half kickoff, but they failed to recover a short, high kick and let the Beavers pounce on it. They capitalized with another Austin Cline TD run to make it 28-0, and the Potters grave had been dug. East Liverpool tried to climb back though, as they put Devin Toothman in as a wildcat QB, but that experiment was unsuccessful, as the Beavers got the ball back yet again. Blake Lucas got into the end zone, making it 35-0 and sealing the Potters fate in the third. TDs by Joe Monte and Tyler Prideau capped off the scoring, giving the Beavers a 48-0 win in a blowout nobody expected.

The Beavers will now turn their attention to the Edison Wildcats, as they meet at Pastore Field for the Beavers homecoming game. Kickoff at 7:00.
