BEAVERS RIDE HOME WITH A PAIR OF WINS
EAST LIVERPOOL OH- Beaver Local rolled into Wednesday’s doubleheader with Bellaire and walked out with a clean sweep—and a whole lot of offense.
Game One:
The Beavers broke things wide open in the second inning and never looked back, dropping six runs on Bellaire to cruise to an 11-3 win. After falling behind 1-0 on a solo shot in the first, Beaver Local punched right back with a two-run double, then unloaded in the next frame. A triple, a two-run bomb, and some defensive miscues gave them a lead they never gave up.
Addie Thurik got the win in the circle, tossing three innings of solid work with four punchouts. Offensively, Brylee Curtis went a perfect 3-for-3, while Thurik added two knocks and an RBI. The Beavers stole four bags and flashed some leather, turning a double play to keep Bellaire from clawing back.
Game Two:
If Game One was a statement, Game Two was a stomp. Beaver Local wasted no time putting runs on the board, hanging six in the opening inning and adding six more over the next two to mercy-rule Bellaire, 12-2.
The top of the order did serious damage, with Tatum Duncan drawing walks and driving in runs, and Ally Wright and Tori Druschel each plating two. Ciara Call picked up the win in the circle with two scoreless innings and four strikeouts, and the Beavers once again turned a double play for good measure.
By the end of the day, Beaver Local had racked up 24 hits over two games and flexed serious depth across the lineup. Next stop for the red-hot Beavers: a Thursday showdown at Girard.
