BELL ADDS RECORD TO RESUME, DEVILS FALL SHORT

HARTVILLE, OH- When Logan Bell leaves for the University of Akron this summer, he’ll leave with his name attached to another record in the Lisbon record books.  The Blue Devils Senior now owns the most strikeouts in a single season with 107 (and counting.)  However, his Devils lost the lead late in a 4-1 defeat to Lake Center Christian on Friday. The game was tied at one with Lake Center Christian batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored two runs for Lake Center Christian.

Lisbon lost despite out-hitting Lake Center Christian four to three.

The Blue Devils got things moving in the first inning, when Josh Entrikin singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Lake Center Christian tied things up at one when Fulk doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Starcher took the win for Lake Center Christian. He surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out three.

Justin Sweeney took the loss for Lisbon. He surrendered four runs on three hits over three innings, striking out one.  Logan Bell started the game for the Devils. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out four and walking zero

Sweeney went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lisbon in hits.
