BELL RINGS LOUD, GRAND SLAM WASHES WELLSVILLE

WELLSVILLE, OH-  The Lisbon Blue Devils defeated Wellsville 16-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Logan Bell, who drove in five runners. Bell drove in runs on a single in the second and a grand slam in the fourth.  The Devils secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the fourth inning.  Lisbon’s big inning was driven by singles by Cameron Summers and Tyler Welsh, a walk by Garrett Cox, a home run by Bell, and a double by Blake Reynolds.

Bell also earned the win for Lisbon on the hill. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out four. Blake Donaldson and Cox entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Thirtyacre took the loss for Wellsville. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out three.

Lisbon tallied nine hits on the day. SummersBell, and Reynolds all had multiple hits for the Blue DevilsReynoldsBell, and Summers each collected two hits to lead Lisbon.
