BERGER ACES MEMORIAL EXAM, LADY BULLDOGS START SEASON WITH VICTORY

EAST PALESTINE, OH- The East Palestine Volleyball Team has had a year to think about the 2018 season, and how they are going to re-establish themselves in the EOAC.  On Monday night, the Lady Dogs started things out their way in the 2019 campaign, serving up a 3-0 defeat to Campbell Memorial (25-9, 25-13, 25-11).  The victory gives the Bulldogs a 1-0 record on the year.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Junior- Emily Berger.  Berger’s 18 points, 10 aces, 5 digs, and 3 kills did the most damage to the Lady Devil defense, which included a 13 serve streak in the third set to put the match out of reach.  For her efforts, Berger was awarded the Gorby’s Player of the Game.

Also contributing for the Lady Dogs were Olivia Figley (5 Kills,) and Morgan Cheurco who had 14 assists and 10 digs.

East Palestine will host United on Tuesday to kick-off their EOAC schedule.
