BIG FIRST FRAME LEADS ASTROS OVER AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS, OH- An eight-run first inning led Astro Falcons to a 12-1 victory on Thursday. The big inning was thanks to singles by Nick Lewis and Adam Gausman, a walk by Joey Gentile, and a double by the young man we call “The Law Firm,” Jay Michael Wrona.

Astro Falcons got things moving in the first inning, when Lewis singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Ryan DiLullo pitched the Falcons to victory. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out seven and walking zero.

Zach Livosky led things off on the mound for Avalanche. He allowed three hits and seven runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one. Chandler MauriceHunter Stelter, and David Moyer each contributed in relief.

Offensively, the Astro Falcons racked up eight hits in the game. Wrona and Lewis all collected multiple hits for Astro Falcons 14ULewis and Wrona all had two hits to lead the team. The Dirty Birds didn’t commit a single error in the field. AJ Verdi had four chances in the field, the most on the team. Astro tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. DiLullo led the way with two.
