BIG INNING ADVANCES CRESTVIEW

COLUMBIANA, OHIO – How do you advance in a tournament? You keep yourself at arms length with your opponent and strike when the opportunity presents itself. Crestview did just that in a big 19-9 win to advance past Mooney Tuesday night.

After taking a 3-0 lead into the top of the fourth inning, Mooney erupted for a five run frame and then four more runs in their half of the fifth. Soon after, Crestview put their doors down and stopped the bleeding with a massive 13 run bottom of the fifth inning to essentially put the game to bed.

Lexie Huff was the star Crestview Rebel offensively as she went two-for-four with four runs batted in and scoring two of those 19 Crestview runs. There were plenty of hits to go around the Crestview lineup as the team finished with a total of 22 hits.

The Rebels sent out pitcher Emma Snyder to the pitcher’s circle as the starter pitched four innings allowing five runs on six hits, three walks and six strikeouts.

The next matchup for Crestview will be Wednesday against Champion at home at 5:00 p.m.
