BIRDS OF A FEATHER; LADY EAGLES FLY PAST WELLSVILLE

HANOVERTON, OH- The United Local softball team showcased their seniors Monday night prior to their matchup with Wellsville. Their seniors decided the pre-game honors was just a prelude to what was in store for the Tigers as the trio led the Eagles to a dominant 15-0 victory in Hanoverton.

Colby Burton 3-4 double, 2RBI & Brielle Rose 2-4 double, RBI, took full advantage of their special night.  Fellow Senior Makayla Craig, who suffered a season-ending injury, started the game in the circle for United. Tori Firth (4IP,1H,10K) and Ally Lacey(1IP,0H,2K) handled the Tigers hitters the rest of the way. United maintained a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 4th inning before exploding for 12 runs to put the game out of reach.

Firth and Camryn Cody each contributed run-scoring doubles during the offensive onslaught for Eagles  United (11-2, 8-1) looks to keep pace with Columbiana as it travels to Firestone Tuesday for a continuation of a game halted by storms last week.

The Clippers maintain a 4-0 lead in the 2nd inning, first pitch is slated for 5pm.
