BLUE DEVILS OFFENSE KEEPS UP THE PACE

BERLIN CENTER OH- Four hits from Hannah Heath helped lead the way for Western Reserve over Waterloo 12-4 on Thursday. Heath singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.

The Blue Devils fired up the offense in the first inning. Heath singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Western Reserve scored six runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Caylee Selley, Maggie Byers, and Alexa Abrams, an error on a ball put in play by Katie Byers, and a double by Lexi Pence.

Heath was the winning pitcher for the Blue Devils. Heath allowed ten hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out six.

Jewel Lilley took the loss for Waterloo. Lilley allowed 15 hits and 12 runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Western Reserve tallied 15 hits. Heath, Allison Jones, and Byers all had multiple hits. Heath led the way with four hits in four at bats.

Waterloo totaled ten hits. Lilley, and Bailey English each collected multiple hits for Waterloo.
