BLUE DEVILS PUT THEIR FOOT DOWN

BERLIN CENTER OH- Katie Byers showed timely hitting on Tuesday, driving in seven on three hits to lead Western Reserve past Sebring 21-1 on Tuesday. Byers drove in runs on a home run in the first, a home run in the second, and a single in the third.

Western Reserve secured the victory thanks to 14 runs in the first inning. The offensive firepower was led by Byers, Maggie Byers, Lexi Pence, Alyvia Hughes, Hannah Heath, and Kaleigh Williams, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Byers was the winning pitcher for Western Reserve. The righty lasted four innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out four. Byers threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Byers recorded the last three outs to earn the save.

The Blue Devils tallied three home runs on the day. Byers went yard in the first inning. Byers went deep in the first and second innings.
