BLUE DEVILS RUN OUT OF GAS; FALL TO SOUTHERN

LISBON, OH – Last time these two teams met, the Southern Indians emerged victorious with a 64-50 win down in Salineville. The Blue Devils came into this game with plenty of things to be fighting for, such as, a revenge game against Southern, a tie for at least second place in the EOAC standings, and also improving their own record for seeding purposes when the records are submitted for voting for the statewide playoffs at the end of the season. Unfortunately for the Lisbon Blue Devils, they ran out of gas just a little too early in the fourth quarter as Southern held on to leave Lisbon victorious, 52-44, on Friday night.

Southern was led by Cameren Grodhaus who finished with 22 points and Jayce Sloan with 9 points.

The Lisbon Blue Devils were led by Ryan McCullough with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, as well as, Blayne Brownfield with 6 points and 9 rebounds. Michael Davis also chipped in 8 points.

Up next for Lisbon (6-9) is another tough EOAC test, as the Blue Devils will travel down to Wellsville to take on the Tigers on Tuesday, January 28th.
