BLUE DEVILS WEAR DOWN LOWELLVILLE

LOWELLVILLE OH- The Lowellville Rockets came in to Tuesday’s match against undefeated Western Reserve with upset on their mind, and at the beginning on the match it seemed possible. However, after Western Reserve took control, they kept their foot on the gas and ran away from the Rockets to sweep the match. (25-17 25-13 25-6)

Lisa Eichert led the offense for the Blue Devils. She nearly completed a double double finishing with 17 kills and 8 digs. Alyvia Hughes was right behind her, finishing with 10 kills, and 9 digs. Gianna Paris set up the offense nicely gathering 22 assists on the night. She also had 3 kills.

Lowellville started the match fantastically, jumping ahead to a 10-3 lead in set 1. The Blue Devils had control from that point on. Sidney Price led their offense with 5 kills. Sammie Kelly served up 13 service points, including a 5-0 rally to start the match.

Western Reserve remains undefeated and will continue their season Wednesday traveling to Heartland Christian. Lowellville will look to get back to a .500 record on Thursday as they host Sebring.
