BLUE JAY RUNNERS DO BIG THINGS

EAST PALESTINE OH- Saturday 9/10/2022 the blue jays traveled to East Palestine City Park to compete in the EP Rotary Invitational. We finally had the chance to run in perfect running weather with cool temperatures. The runners raced against 14 teams and about 50-60 runners in each of their races. The top 10 finishers in the high school races received an individual trophy and 11-20th place received a medal, in the middle school race the top 10 finishers received a trophy.

The high school runners raced on a 5k course and the middle school runners competed on a 1.75 course (the shortest race they’ll see all season).

Seven of our runners received overall awards as individuals with the rest of the team not far behind, pushing for personal records! The high school boys as a team finished in 4th place
