BLUE JAYS BREAK AWAY FROM CAMPBELL

CAMPBELL OH- Jackson-Milton came out swinging and never let up Monday, blasting Memorial 23-2 in a total beatdown.

Caden Ruby couldn’t miss, going 3-for-3 with three singles to help fuel the offensive explosion. The Blue Jays hung 14 runs in the third inning alone to completely blow it open.

It was a parade to the plate — Dom Krol got plunked to bring in a run, Jaidyn Henry lifted a sac fly, Ruby knocked in another with a base hit, and then the floodgates really opened with a mix of walks, hit-by-pitches, and singles. Ethan Sokol and Caleb Combs each chipped in RBI knocks during the big inning.

Jackson-Milton didn’t waste time getting on the board either, scoring in the first after Jaiden Scott drew a bases-loaded walk. They tacked on more in the second with big hits from Krol, Ruby, and Landon Workman, and a Memorial error kept the merry-go-round moving.

James Croyle got the start on the hill, tossing two and two-thirds innings, giving up just one hit and two unearned runs while striking out seven. Walker Wolf came in and shut the door, tossing two and a third of scoreless ball with three punchouts.

The Blue Jays racked up 10 hits, with Krol, Ruby, Joey Modarelli, and Scott each driving in two runs. Scott also showed good patience, leading the team with two walks as Jackson-Milton drew 12 free passes in the game.

For Memorial, Pano Kolidakis led the way at the top of the order with two hits, while Jared Colon and Bobby Ramirez each drove in a run. Jackson-Milton gets Memorial again Tuesday, this time on home turf.
