BLUE JAYS BRING HOME VICTORY OVER MCDONALD

An early lead helped Jackson Milton defeat McDonald 7-5 on Tuesday. The Blue Jays scored on a error in the second inning, a sacrifice fly by Aaren Landis in the second inning, a groundout by Owen McDevitt in the second inning, and a single by Frankie Prozy in the second inning.

After McDonald scored one run in the top of the third, Jackson Milton answered with one of their own. McDonald scored when Nick Ferradino’s sac fly scored one run. The Blue Jays then answered when Logan Sokol singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Jackson Milton pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run, Landis’s sac fly scored one run, McDevitt grounded out, scoring one run, and Prozy singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Aaren Romigh led the Blue Jays to victory on the hill. The righty surrendered five runs on eight hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Gavin Sahli threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Zach Shobel was on the hill for McDonald. The pitcher surrendered six runs on six hits over four innings, striking out three. Nolan Agler threw two innings out of the bullpen.

Cole Grope, Mason Robison, Sahli, Prozy, Landis, and Sokol each collected one hit to lead Jackson Milton.

McDonald saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Miles Culp and Wyatt Wolford each collected multiple hits for McDonald. Culp led with three hits in four at bats.
