BLUE JAYS EMBRACE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY

NORTH JACKSON, OHIO- Jackson-Milton weathered a scare by Lowellville in the fifth inning where the Blue Jays coughed up three runs, but still won 16-4 on Tuesday over the Rockets.

Jackson-Milton collected 11 hits on the day.  Mia Greco,  Emily Fultz, and Grace Johns each racked up multiple hits and were led by Greco, who went 3 for 4 at the plate.

The Blue Jays sealed their win for good when they notched six runs in the fifth inning as they were led by the big bats of  Johns, Fultz, Brena McBeth, and Ivy McBeth, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Macayle Thornhill was the winning pitcher of the day as the ace surrendered four runs on two hits over five innings, striking out four.

Morgan Lewis was the losing pitcher of the day as she lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 hits and 16 runs while striking out five.

Jackson-Milton will look to add another win to their record when they take on Lisbon on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. Lowellville will look to get back in the win column when they travel to Mineral Ridge on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
