BLUE JAYS GET THE WIN TO SEND OFF SENIORS

NORTH JACKSON OH- The Lady Jays celebrated Senior Night tonight in a league game against Waterloo where they danced their way to a win.The Lady Jays were ready to get to the plate and had three up three down in the top of the first. The girls continued their hot bats from last night scoring three in the first inning. Waterloo answered with one of their own in the second. Grace Johns hit a shot to center earning herself a spot on third. Paige Grope grounded out scoring Grace and getting the RBI. Waterloo scored two runs with two hits but the Lady Jays had a perfect double play by Chelsea Williams, Mia Greco and Alena Len to end the inning.

The Lady Jays tried to keep the offense going when Chelsea Williams hit a laser homerun over the centerfield fence earning herself a solo homerun, her second of the season. Kylie Wilson and Emily Fultz followed it up with two singles but the Lady Jays couldn’t score. In the top of the seventh,

Waterloo tried to start something on one out when the two spot singled but the Lady Jays, yet again, turned a double play to end the game and get the win 5-3. Kylie Wilson led the way tonight going 3-4 with three singles.

Sarah Rader had her first varsity win in the circle where she pitched all seven innings giving up six hits, striking out one and walking two.

Congratulations to our three seniors Sarah Rader, Kylie Wilson and Chelsea Williams on a successful season so far. We loved celebrating you tonight.

The Lady Jays are now 8-5 overall and 6-2 in the league. They will travel to Lowellville tomorrow for their fifth double header of the season with the first game starting at 11:00.
