BLUE JAYS STIR UP TROUBLE FOR MINERAL RIDGE

MINERAL RIDGE, OH- The Jackson Milton Blue Jays defeated Mineral Ridge 6-4 thanks to a strong start in MVAC play on Tuesday.

The Blue Jays took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Frankie Prozy‘s sac fly scored one run for Bluejays.  Billy Sloan was on the hill for JM. The righty allowed five hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out nine.

Kyle Bickerstaff was on the pitcher’s mound for Mineral Ridge. The pitcher went one inning, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out two. Payton Zupko threw six innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Sloan and Logan Sokol each collected one hit to lead Jackson Milton. The Blue Jays stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Prozy led the way with two.

Zupko went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Mineral Ridge in hits as well.
