BLUE JAYS TAKE CENTER STAGE IN BADGER

KINSMAN, OHIO- The Jackson-Milton Blue Jays managed through a push by Badger in the fifth inning where the Blue Jays coughed up three runs as Badger scored its runs on a fielder’s choice by Abby Dubelko, but the Blue Jays still won 13-3 on Friday.

The Blue Jays got things moving in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Jackson-Milton Varsity Blue Jays then they added five runs in the fifth inning as Alena Len, Paige Grope, Macayle Thornhill, and Grace Johns each drove in runs during the inning.

Thornhill took the win for the Blue Jays on the mound as the ace surrendered three runs on three hits over six innings, striking out five.

Molly O’Brien toed the rubber for Badger. The pitcher went five innings, allowing 11 runs on seven hits and striking out nine.  Jessica Lovesee threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Badger will try and bounce back when they take on Pymatuning Valley on Monday, while Jackson-Milton will be at home to take on United on Monday.
