BOARDMAN BOOSTS THEIR WAY PAST TIGERS

BOARDMAN OH- Boardman  beat Howland in game one of a 5 inning double header 5-2 on Thursday.

In the first inning, Boardman got their offense started. The Spartans scored two runs when Maddie Wymer singled.

Tori Strines was the winning pitcher for Boardman. Strines lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out four and walking zero.

Brooke Tatar took the loss for the Tigers. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out four.

Ava Freeborough went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Boardman in hits. The Spartans didn’t commit a single error in the field. Wymer had the most chances in the field with five.

Cloe Lopez led Howland with two hits in two at bats.
