BOBBEY BLANKS NILES, POLAND ROLLS
POLAND, OH- Brooke Bobbey threw a shutout to lead Poland past McKinley 16-0 on Wednesday.
The Lady Dogs secured the victory thanks to 13 runs in the very first inning. The rally was led by walks by Kenzie Szolek, Lauren Sienkiewicz, and Bobbey, doubles by Ally Nittoli, Tori Modarelli, and Cami Lattanzio, singles by Justine Carney and Emily Denney, by Rachel Wolfe, and by Sienkiewicz.
A single by R Libist in the first inning was a positive for McKinley. One of two hits on the afternoon for Niles.
Bobbey was credited with the victory for Poland. She allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one.
H Snider took the loss for McKinley. She allowed nine hits and 16 runs over three innings, striking out three.
Bobbey went 2-for-3 at the plate as well to lead Poland in hits.
