BOBCATS WASH OUT AMBRIDGE

AMBRIDGE OH-  Beaver came out swinging Thursday and didn’t let up, cruising past Ambridge 15-1 in a five-inning beatdown.

Olivia Peabody stole the show, launching two homers and driving in seven runs on the day. She went deep in the first and again in the fifth to help put this one way out of reach.

The Bobcats set the tone early, plating six in the opening frame. A double got the scoring started, then Peabody mashed a three-run shot to left. A defensive miscue and a groundout brought in two more to make it 6-0 before Ambridge could settle in.

Beaver kept the pedal down. RBI knocks in the second extended the lead, and another error in the third added to Ambridge’s rough day. The fifth inning was the dagger—five runs on five hits, capped by Peabody’s second bomb, a three-run missile that put the mercy rule on the table.

Peabody wasn’t just swinging it—she handled the work in the circle too. The right-hander gave up seven hits but just one unearned run over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

Beaver piled up 15 hits in the win. Peabody and Kenzie Springer each had three, while Jaedyn Brown, Sami Springman, and Bella Marino also had multi-hit games. Brown added two stolen bags for good measure. Next up for the Bobcats is a showdown with Blackhawk on Monday.
