BRAVES PUT THEIR BEST FOOT FORWARD

LORDSTOWN OH-  Badger leaned on speed, patience, and just enough timely hitting to knock off Lordstown 4-1 on Wednesday.

The Braves broke a scoreless tie in the fourth, taking advantage of a walk and some heads-up base running—including a steal of home—to plate a pair and grab the lead for good.

On the mound, it was a lights-out performance from Lewis Flowers, who mowed through Lordstown’s lineup across four shutout innings, giving up just two hits while striking out seven. Tyler McWilliams came in late to slam the door and lock down the save.

Offensively, the Braves didn’t light up the hit column—but they made the most of every opportunity. Four different players picked up a knock, and the team drew seven walks to keep traffic on the basepaths. They also ran wild, swiping six bags, with Gilbert and Winchek leading the charge in that department.

Lordstown’s starter was electric despite the loss, racking up 15 strikeouts in a complete-game effort. They managed just two hits but were aggressive on the bases with four steals and played clean in the field without committing an error. Next up for Badger: a road test at East on Monday.
