BUC UP: PROSPECTS MAKE AVALANCHE WALK THE PLANK

STRUTHERS, OH- The Prospect Pirates scored seven runs in the third on its way to a 10-1 victory over Avalanche on Saturday. The Prospects put the pressure on, lead by singles by Donovan McCoy and Cobey Airwyke, an error on a ball put in play by Anthony Marimpietri, and a double by Kris Hrosar.

The Buccos put up seven runs in the third inning. MarimpietriMcCoyHrosar, and Airwyke all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Airwyke led the the Prospects to victory on the mound. He allowed two hits and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. HrosarMichael Condoleon, and Carter Knupp all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Knupp recorded the last two outs to earn the save for the Bucs.

George Gabriel took the loss for Avalanche. He allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one.

The Prospectsracked up nine hits in the game. HrosarMcCoy, and Marimpietri each racked up multiple hits for the team. Hrosar led the Prospects with three hits in four at-bats. The Prospects also tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Hrosar led the way with two.

Aiden Bowser went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Avalanche in hits.
