BULLDOGS BLOW OUT THEIR BEACH FINALE

MYRTLE BEACH SC-  Lakeview was all gas, no brakes on Tuesday, rolling past Trinity Christian 12-1 behind a perfect day at the plate from Kalyssa Werner.

Werner couldn’t miss. She went 4-for-4 with four singles, spraying hits all over the yard—first inning, second, third, and again in the fifth. Just a clinic in putting the ball in play.

The Bulldogs wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard. Kennedy Bartlett and Mackenzie Stowe each knocked in a run in the first, and an error helped tack on another to make it 3-0 out of the gate. Stowe kept it rolling in the second with a rope down the right field line that cleared the bases for three more.

By the time the third inning was in the books, Lakeview had cracked it open with RBI singles from Ava Bacon, Werner, and Bartlett. That made it 9-0 and the Warriors were on their heels the rest of the way.

Bacon also handled business in the circle, spinning five strong innings. She scattered four hits and didn’t give up an earned run, striking out six in the process. Trinity’s Paige Hopkins went the distance, but Lakeview’s bats were just too hot—15 knocks in total.

Stowe led the charge in the middle of the order with three ribbies on a 2-for-2 day. Bartlett and Isabella Isenberg each racked up multi-hit games as well, keeping the lineup turning over like clockwork.

Trinity Christian’s Emma Jenkins was a bright spot, going 2-for-2 from the eighth spot in the lineup, and Olivia Timperio knocked in their lone run.  Lakeview turns the page to Thursday when they host Champion in what should be another solid matchup.
