BULLDOGS KEEP THE BATS HOT AND SWEEP RANGE

Poland defeated South Range 7-5 thanks to a strong start. Poland  scored on a home run by Jackie Grisdale in the first inning, an error, a single by Meredith Trevis, and a home run by Abby Farber in the second inning.

Poland earned the victory despite allowing South Range to score four runs in the first inning. South Range offense in the inning was led by Samantha Susany and Jillian Strecanksy, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Katie McDonald was in the pitcher’s circle for the Bulldogs. The righthander allowed seven hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Reagan Irons started the game for South Range. The pitcher went three innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out two. Bree Kohler threw three innings out of the bullpen.

Poland smacked two home runs on the day. Grisdale went for the long ball in the first inning. Farber had a dinger in the second inning.

The Bulldogs tallied nine hits. Grisdale and Emily Denney each managed multiple hits. Denney and Grisdale each had two hits to lead.

South Range collected seven hits on the day. Juli Stachowicz and Kohler each racked up multiple hits.
