BULLDOGS SLIDE PAST BIRDS

CORTLAND, OH- Lakeview defeated Hubbard Eagles Varsity 5-4 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with Lakeview batting in the bottom of the sixth when Jake Wilms singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

The Eagles opened up scoring in the first inning. Andrew Kali singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Nolan Toth led the Bulldogs to victory on the hill. The right-hander surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out one.

Ian Wukelich took the loss for Hubbard. The righty surrendered five runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out four and walking one.

Wilms started the game for Lakeview. Wilms surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out one

The Dogs tallied ten hits in the game. Andrew McRoberts, Wilms, and Gavin Mauger all had multiple hits for Lakeview. Wilms and McRoberts each collected three hits to lead the Bulldogs.
