BULLDOGS TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS, PREP FOR PRIMETIME SHOWDOWN

EAST PALESTINE, OH- The East Palestine Lady Bulldogs came into their matchup with Mohawk on a mission: No Plays Off.  It’s an easy concept, but much tougher to deliver when all is said and done.  However, on Wednesday night, mission accomplished.  EP delivered a shutout 3-0 against their cross border rivals, 25-6, 25-10, 25-9.

Leading the way and earning the Gorby’s Player of the Game was Junior, Emily Berger, with 7 points, 8 kills, 3 digs, and a pair of blocks.  However, her frontline teammates also deserve heavy recognition for their play, as Paige Snyder had 14 points, and a pair of digs and aces while Liv Figley had 9 kills and 4 blocks.  Jami Jones was a sniper for EP, perfect placement leading to 14 points, 2 aces, and 7 digs.  Rounding out the night was Morgan Cheurco and her match-leading 21 assists.

East Palestine improves to 13-5 overall (9-2) and will host a much-anticipated match with EOAC Champion, Wellsville, on Thursday night.  You can catch the action right here, on YSN.
