CALL THEM THE TITLE TIGERS

NEW MIDDLETOWN OH- Springfield had one goal this season that was first on their list before any of the rest. Win the MVAC.  That’s what was starring at them on Monday night as they welcomed in Western Reserve. The task was simple, win and get a trophy.  The Tigers had their eyes on that prize all night and pushed past a scrappy Blue Devil team to win 34-19 and claim a MVAC conference crown on the Scarlet side.

Jacey Mullen once again led the Tigers as the brand new all time leading scorer at Springfield dropped 18 points.  Mariana Tuscano was just a point off of double figures finishing the night with 9 points.  Jameka Brungard contributed 5 points to the Tigers.

Brooke Schantz led the Blue Devils with 8 points on the night.  Alyvia Hughes added 5 points and Lisa Eichert scored 4.

Springfield will now look to go complete an unbeaten league season. Up next for them though is a non conference test on Saturday at West Branch.  Western Reserve returns to action on Thursday as they play at McDonald.
