CALLOW NO HITS RESERVE AS MCDONALD WINS BIG

Western Reserve fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-0 loss to McDonald on Monday. McDonald took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

Western Reserve struggled to contain the high-powered offense of McDonald, giving up 11 runs.

McDonald opened up scoring in the first inning, when Lucia Wolford hit a solo homer.

Bri Callow earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for McDonald. The bulldog went five innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out 11 and walking one.

Hannah Heath took the loss for the Blue Devils. Heath went five innings, allowing 11 runs on 15 hits and striking out three.

 

McDonald scattered 15 hits in the game. Wolford, and Sarah Lorello each were hitters who collected multiple hits for McDonald.
