CALLOW’S NO-NO PUTS MCDONALD IN TITLE GAME

MCDONALD OH- McDonald had to wait a bit longer for their first tournament game. They advanced to Monday night’s district semifinals game against Bristol thanks to a no contest. A fresh Bri Callie was bad news for the visiting Panthers of Bristol. Callow hurled a no hitter in McDonald’s 3-0 win to advance to the District Championship game.

Neither offense got a ton of rhythm. McDonald only got two hits on the day. They both came from Lucia Wolford. Wolford also stole 4 bases and scored two runs. Riley Matig scored a run after reaching on a error.

Callow struck out 17 in her complete game shut out. She didn’t allow a single hit. Bri also did not walk anyone.

McDonald advances to play East Canton in the North Jackson District Championship game on Wednesday. The game will take place at Jackson Milton. First pitch is slated for 5:00.
