CAMPBELL COMES UP BIG IN TIGHT MATCHUP

By Matt  Morrison

BROOKFIELD, OHIO- In what was a battle all the way to the end, Campbell just snuck by Brookfield 2-1.

Both sides had difficulty at the plate with both pitchers having dominating performances, but Anthony Kindinis’s single drove in the run that put Campbell in front for good. Kindinis was also the winning pitcher of the day as he allowed only 3 hits, 1 run, and had 8 strikeouts through seven innings pitched.

Brookfield was led by Hays Montgomery, who went 2 for 4 at the plate. Hunter Warrender also had a great performance on the mound as he only allowed 4 hits, 2 runs, and had 8 strikeouts through eight innings, but all in a losing effort.

The Warriors will have another chance at Campbell though as they take on each other once again on Tuesday.
