CANFIELD CORRALS COWBOYS

CANFIELD OH- The Canfield Cardinals took on the Chaney Cowboys in week 5 of the high school football season. The Cardinals had a ginormous first half, which carried Canfield to a victory.

The Cardinals got the football to start the ballgame, and scored on their first possession with a Hunter Kanotz touchdown reception. The Cowboys brought out freshman quarterback Mathew Jones, who did not get off to a great start with an interception thrown on the Cowboys first play. Canfield would score off the pick with a Broc Lowry touchdown run from 3 yards out. Later in the first quarter, Paolo Papalia hauled in a 47 yard TD catch to make it 21-0 Canfield after one quarter.

The Cardinals would get another rushing touchdown from Broc Lowry and a receiving touchdown from Drew Carrocce to make it 35-0 heading into the locker room at half. Chaney would get on the board late in the fourth quarter, but would miss the extra point. Canfield would win the ballgame 35-6, and improve to 4-1. The Cowboys will take on Ursuline next week as Canfield plays host to Marion Pleasant.
