CANFIELD GOLF SHOWS OFF IN THEIR INVITATIONAL

Canfield boys and girls golf teams hosted their annual Canfield Invitational on Monday, and both squads put on a show.

The girls’ A team snagged 3rd place out of 12 teams with a score of 324, while Dublin Jerome took the top spot with 291. Canfield’s B team finished with a 391. Aubree Philibin led the A team with a 77, followed by Alexandria Conley (78), Miya Cohol (82), Mia Tisone (87), and Natalie Sawicki (90). For the B team, Lorin Sam shot a 91, Laney Kleeh 94, Grace Carrier 101, and Chloe Leskovac and Cadence Elford each scored 105.

The Canfield boys team came out on top, winning the invitational with a score of 302, leaving Howland trailing with 338. The Canfield B team finished with 343. Mick Ambrose led the way with a 72, clinching the individual title. Nathan Miller scored 74, Topher Dombretta 77, and both Danny Chaplow and Mason McClure shot 79. For Howland, Bode Biggin scored 81, Deacon Mock 83, Jesse George 86, Anthony Palumbo 88, and Jake Lynn 92. Canfield’s B team had Logan Patellis with 84, Chad Volovar and Michael Masczak both with 86, Carson Afaras with 87, and Bryce Lynn with 113.
