CANFIELD GRABS ANOTHER SPRING BREAK WIN

MYRTLE BEACH SC- Canfield defeated Highland Regional 14-4 on Tuesday thanks in part to Scottie Eaton, who drove in four runners. Eaton drove in runs on a double in the third and a single in the fourth.

Canfield scored seven runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Zain Jadallah, Eaton, Jack Davis, and AJ Havrilla, all driving in runs in the inning.

Noah Anzevino was the winning pitcher for the Cardinals. The righty lasted four innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out four. Stephen Maszczak threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Canfield collected eight hits on the day. Eaton and Jadallah all collected multiple hits. Jadallah and Eaton all had two hits to lead cube offense. Canfield tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Ethan Prout led the way with two.

Canfield is back in action in Myrtle on Wednesday as they take on Bishop Ireton at 1:30.
