CANFIELD TAKES HOLD OF FIRST WIN

CANFIELD- The battle of Canfield took place Tuesday night, as the South Range Raiders took the short bus trip to take on the Canfield Cardinals.

Both teams came out red hot to start the first quarter, as leads were being exchanged back and forth. The second quarter slowed down a bit, and Canfield had a 29-26 lead heading into halftime. In the 3rd quarter, Canfield hit a couple key 3 pointers, and kept control of the lead. In the final 4th quarter, South Range battled strong, but came up just a bit short. Canfield was able to pick up their first win of the season, by a final score of 55-49.

Canfield once again was led by Trey Dye, who had 18 points on the night. The Raiders were led by Eli Taylor and Nate Brown, who each had 11 points.

Canfield is now 1-2, and will host West Branch Friday night at 7 P.M. South Range drops to 0-2, and will play Hubbard at home on Friday. Catch all the action on YSN.
