CARDINALS ARE AS DOMINANT AS EVER IN MYRTLE

MYRTLE BEACH SC- Canfield defeated Chase 14-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Bella Kennedy got a strike out to finish off the game.

Canfield got things moving in the first inning. They scored one run when Hailey Freedy tripled.

The Cardinals put up seven runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Jenna Triveri, Freedy, Leah Figueroa, and Macey Kalina and doubles by Faith Morell and Kennedy.

Malena Toth was in the circle for Canfield. The righty surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.

Canfield had 19 hits in the game. Figueroa, Kalina, Alexa Ignazio, Freedy, and Morell each managed multiple hits. Kalina and Figueroa each collected three hits to lead the way. The Cardinals were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Figueroa had the most chances in the field with nine.
