CARDINALS FALL TO BENDER’S BUZZER BEATER

CANFIELD OH- Canfield was staring down a huge confidence boosting win on Wednesday night against Warren Harding. The Cardinals led 52-50 with just 9 seconds left off a made free throw. The Raiders went down the floor, missed their first shot, but got the offensive rebound and kick to the corner where Kamarah Bender was waiting to knock down a dagger three at the buzzer for the 53-52 win.

Canfield gave Harding all they could handle all night long. The game was knotted up at halftime, and sent in to overtime. Canfield falls to 9-7.

Abby Muckleroy paced the Cardinals with 15 points. Alyssa Dill also found herself in double figures with 10.

Canfield stays in conference play as they travel to Howland on Friday.
