SCORING IS NO PROBLEM FOR THE AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS, OHIO – In what was a high scoring game, the Avalanche just snuck by Ballistic Baseball 10-9 Thursday at Bob Cene Park.

Ballistic was led by Taggart Carfangia, who went 4 for 4, Owen Gazda, who went 3 for 4, and Kyle Gilson, who went 2 for 4 at the plate. The Avalanche were led by Landon Whippo, who went 3 for 4 and by Tanner Turosky, who went 2 for 3.

Noah Philson was the winning pitcher of the nigh as he allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts. Kyle Gilson was also the losing pitcher of the evening as he allowed three runs on five hits with one strikeout.

CREEKSIDE’S PITCHING COMES THROUGH

STRUTHERS, OHIO- Creekside Fitness socred late to secure the 4-1 victory over Knightline Thursday at Bob Cene Park.

Creekside Fitness was led by multiple players who had one hit including Hunter Shields, who went 1 for 1, Frank Senediak and Wyatt Burchill, who both went 1 for 2 at the plate.

The losing pitcher of the night was John Darnley, who allowed four runs on three hits with four strikeouts. The winning Pitcher of the evening was Zach Mcclean, who allowed one run on four hits with eight strikeouts.

ATHLETIX RUN THEIR WAY TO VICTORY

STRUTHERS OH- It was a whole lot of offense that propelled Athletix to a 17-7 victory over Dura Edge on Saturday during Class B 16U action at Bob Cene Park.

Ty Wilson turned in a 4 RBI day for Athletix going a perfect 3-3 at the plate.  He would also score a pair of runs himself.  Dylan Simpson went 2-3 for the Athletix bats and knocked in a pair. Jonathan Adamson also had multiple hits on the day going 2-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI.

Logan Cypher had a great day for Dura Edge despite the loss. He went 2-2 at the plate and contributed 3 RBI and a run scored.  Charlie Young went 1-3 for the day with 1 RBI. Paul Gubba also went 1-3 for Dura Edge.

 

 

CREEKSIDE STORMS THE GATES AGAINST EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS, OHIO- Creekside had a good outing tonight at Bob Cene Park as they cruised past Eagle Wear 17-2.

Creekside was led by Dom Santee and Bryce Covert, who both went 3 for 3 at the plate and as well as Hunter Sheilds, who went 3 for 4, Trent Litman, and Wyatt Burchill, who both went 2 for 3 at the plate.

Matt Leonard was the winning pitcher of the evening allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts.

AVALANCHE RUN THE SATURDAY SHOW

STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche worked hard on Saturday to earn a close 4-3 win in 16U Class B action at Bob Cene Park.

The Avalanche only had 1 RBI in their lineup despite scoring 4 runs. It came from Rocky Serafino went 2-3 on the day.  He also scored a run.  Kayden Mayhew had a perfect day at the plate going 2-2.  Owen Dye was also never retired on a 1-1 effort.

Noah Anzevino got the win on the mound for Avalanche. He went 4.2 IP and gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and struck out 5.

Anthony Pastella went 1-3 on the day for Knightline with a RBI.  Christian Haught also went 1-3 with a RBI.  Rocco Diflorio scored a run on a 1-3 outing.

Bradley Quinby went the distance for Knightline on the bump.  He gave up 3 earned runs in his 7 innings of work. He sat down 5 hitters and walked a pair.

THREE RUN INNING DOES THE TRICK FOR PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- It was a big three run 5th inning for Prospects that did the trick on Saturday. In 16U Class B action Prospects edged out Ballistic Baseball 3-2.

Will Hynes was a force to be reckoned with at the plate going 3-4 with 1 RBI.  Jacob Gugliotta went 2-3 with a run scored to give fuel to the Prospects offense.  Reggie Dunko and Evan Tuttle both collected RBIs as well.

Mason Nawrocki got the start for Prospects and went 5.2 IP and gave up just 2 runs on 5 hits. He struck out 7 batters and only walked 1.

Cameron Huff knocked in a run for Ballistic going 1-3 on the day.  Tyler Wright also went 1-3 with a run scored.

CREEKSIDE SECURES FIRST PLACE SPOT

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons had held first place for the first week of Class B Baseball in the 16U division, but Creekside has been right on their tail.  Coming in to Thursday night Creekside and Astro Falcons were tied at the top with 7-2 records.  When they clashed though, only one could earn the first place spot. It was Creekside that would prevail 11-10.

Carter Owens was one of the big bats in the Creekside lineup.  He went 2-3 on the night with 2 RBI.  Dom Santee had a perfect day at the plate going 3-3 with 2 RBI.  Jackson Cheeks also had 3 hits on the night going 3-4 with a single RBI.  Trent Litman was also solid going 2-3 with a RBI and a run scored.

The Astro offense was nothing to turn your nose up at.  Anthony Triveri went 3-4 for them knocking in 3 RBI.  Dawson Wallace also went 3-4 and swung home 2 RBI.  Tanner Stricko also drive in a pair with a 1-2 effort at the plate.

WHITING BRINGS THE POWER

STRUTHERS, OHIO- The Whiting Roll-Offs score late to top Ballistic Baseball 10-3 this evening at Bob Cene Park.

Whiting was led by Treyton Ross, who went 2 for 3 and by Blake Scott, who went 2 for 4. Demarian Young was the winning pitcher on the mound this evening as he allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts.

Tyler Wright went 2 for 3 at the plate for Ballistic in the losing effort as Trevor Ruscoe took the loss on the mound allowing two runs on two hits with one strikeout. 

AVALANCHE LIGHT THINGS UP

STRUTHERS, OHIO- The Avalanche got the best out of Athletix as they topped them 7-3 tonight at Bob Cene Park.

The Avalanche was led Ivan Rudiak and Jason Malley, who both went 2 for 3 at the plate. Ben Herrmann got the win on the mound allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts.

The losing pitcher of the day was Dylan Simpson, who allowed four runs on seven hits with two strikeouts.

THE AVALANCHE CRASHES INTO THE PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche had a lot of fun on Tuesday as they rolled past the Prospects in 16u Class B action 12-1.

There was a lot of offense on the Avalanche’s side as Grayson Eicher grabbed a pair of RBI on a perfect 1-1 day with 2 walks.  Nick Solderich went 2-3 on the night and gathered 2 RBI as well.  Blake Rottmon didn’t grab a hit, but he did lead the team with 3 RBI.

Landon Whippo picked up the win for Avalanche on the bump. He lasted 4.1 IP giving up just 1 earned run on 4 hits.  He struck out a pair of hitters.
