ASTRO FALCONS CONTINUE TO SHINE

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons continued their dominance of Class B on Sunday with a 5-0 win over Whiting Roll-Offs. The Falcons offense spread out their five runs between the 3rd and 6th innings. Their pitching held Whiting to only one hit.

Luke Jackson collected 2 RBI for the Falcons. He walked once. Greg Johnson went 2-3. Phil Fox walked 3 times.

Chase Tomko got the only hit for Whiting going 1-3. Ethan Bintrum walked.

Andrew Russel got the impressive win for the Falcons. He threw 6 no hit innings striking out 7 and walking a pair.

 

CREEKSIDE TOO MUCH FOR AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside had no trouble in their 5-0 win over Avalanche on Sunday. Their pitching held Avalanche to one hit. A four run 4th inning all but sealed the deal.

Alex Duffalo went 1-2 for Creekside with a walk and 2 RBI. Gavin Miller had 2 of Creekside’s 4 hits going 2-2 with 2 walks and a run scored.

John King got the only hit for Avalanche going 1-2. Henry Falcon, and Derek Franken both walked.

Ben Petske got the win for Creekside. He went 4 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits and striking out 4.

EAGLE WEAR AND DURA EDGE FINISH TIED

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge and Eagle Wear finishes their game on Sunday tied at 2-2. Eagle Wear held a 2-0 lead early in the game score two runs in the 1st inning. Dura Edge ties the game with a run in the 4th, and 5th innings.

For Dura Edge, Jake Bowen went 2-3 with a run scored and the team’s lone RBI. Braden Gebhardt went 1-2 with a walk.

Walter Sweeney went 2-3 for Eagle Wear with 2 RBI. Donny Shimko went 1-4 with a run scored. Ricky Enlow went 1-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Zach Lordo pitches well for Eagle Wear. He went 4 innings giving up 1 earned run on 3 hits and struck out 3.

Garrett Donaldson got the start for Dura Edge. He went 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits and struck out 6.

ROTH BROTHERS STORM BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- Great pitching, and just enough offense was the key for Roth Brothers in their 4-1 win on Sunday over Ballistic Baseball. Roth Brothers three runs in the first inning set the tone. Ballistic answered with one run in the 2nd, but that’s all they could muster up.

EJ Taylor went 2-3 for Roth Brothers with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Ethan Shaw went 1-3 with a RBI.

Anthony Koulianos collected the lone RBI for Ballistic Baseball. Matt Dubois went 3-3 with a run scored.

Justin Clevenger shined for the win on the mound for Roth Brothers. He went 7 innings and gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He struck out 6.

WHITING WASHES OUT KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs used early offense to help them establish a sizable lead on Knightline. Some late insurance runs kept Knightline at bay and Whiting came away with a 8-3.

Chase Tomko went 1-2 for Whiting with a walk and 3 RBI. Tyler Kamerer went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

For Knightline, Brett Bobin went 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Vince Sciortino went 2-3 with a run scored.

Jake Vitale got the win on the rubber for Whiting. He went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 5.

ROTH BROTHERS CLIP EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS OH- Roth Brothers out hit Eagle Wear 10-4 on Friday night on their way to a 5-2 victory.

Matt Lockwich had a huge day at the plate for Roth Brothers going 2-3 with 3 RBI. Cam Hollobaugh went 2-3 with a RBI. Jared Laczko went 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Ethan Shaw also went 2-3 with a run scored

For Eagle Wear, Zach Lordo went 1-3 with a RBI. Ricky Enlow went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI. Teddy Ruffner went 1-1 with 2 walks.

Hollobaugh secured a win on the  rubber for Roth Brothers. He went 4 innings and gave up 0 runs on 3 hits and struck out 8.

EAGLE WEAR BURIES BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- Eagle Wear had an impressive offensive output on Friday against Ballistic Baseball as they ran away with a 10-4 victory.

Teddy Ruffner had two hits including a triple, three RBIs and scored twice while Matt Womer had a double and scored once for Eaglewear. Joe Scott added 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.

Tanner Egli had a double, triple and scored twice while Bryce Smith had two hits and an RBI for Ballistic. Koby Zupko also went 1-2 with a RBI.

Larry Iagulli got the win on the mound for Eagle Wear. He went 4 innings gave up 0 runs on 2 hits and struck out a pair.

ASTRO FALCONS BOUNCE BACK AGAINST BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- Astro Falcons looked to bounce back on Friday after their first loss of the season on Thursday night. And bounce back they did. They stormed to a 9-2 win over Avalanche. They scored eight runs between the 4th and 6th innings.

Ryan Feczco went 1-1 for the Falcons with 2 walks, and 2 RBI. Mitch Gorsch went 1-2 with a walk and 2 RBI.

Koby Zupko went 1-2 for Avalanche with a RBI. Isaac Schleich went 1-2.

Brandon Bergert got the win on the bump for the Falcons. He went 3 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit. He struck out a pair.

DURA EDGE TAKES DOWN PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge used phenomenal pitching to hand Prospects a 4-0 defeat. Prospects only managed one hit. Dura Edge scored in four separate innings.

Parker Lyons led Dura Edge’s offense going 2-2 with 2 RBI. William Shaffer went 1-2 with a RBI and a run scored. Braden Gebhardt went 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Garrett Donaldson also collected a RBI.

Sean Helpy got the only hit for Prospects going 1-2.

Gebhardt got the win on the mound for Dura Edge going 4 innings giving up 0 runs on just one hit. He struck out 7.

CREEKSIDE NIXES KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside was in a class of their own on Friday in a 9-0 win over Knightline. Creekside jumped ahead early with three in the 1st. After a couple of one run innings they scored four in the 6th.

Anthony Sherwin went 1-3 for Creekside with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Grant Voytovich went 1-3 with a walk, a run scored, and 2 RBI.

For Knightline, Brett Bobin went 1-1 with 2 walks. Joe Roth went 1-2.

Nic Rispoli got the win on the mound for Creekside. He went 5 innings and gave up 0 runs on 1 hit. He struck out 9.
