ATHLETIX GRABS SOLID VICTORY

STRUTHERS, OHIO- In what was a close battle all the way through, Athletix snuck out a 6-3 victory over Ballistic Baseball Monday night at Bob Cene Park.

Athletix was led at the plate by Vinny Woods, who went 2 for 3, and by Bayden Pipoly, who went 2 for 4. Tyler Wright led Ballistic at the plate this evening as he went 2 for 2. Alex Nicholson picked up the win on the mound as he allowed three runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts through seven innings of work.

The losing pitcher on the hill tonight was Gabe Rusnak, who allowed six runs on six hits with five strikeouts through four innings of work.

PROSPECTS PICK UP SOME STEAM

STRUTHERS, OHIO- The Prospects had a good outing Monday at Bob Cene Park as they took down Eagle Wear 8-2.

The Prospects were led at the plate by Robert Gumino, Jake Carfangia, and Traynor Janosko, who all went 2 for 3.

Eagle Wear was led by Ben Barnes in the losing effort as he went 2 for 3 at the plate. Matt Mroz was the winning pitcher of the evening as he allowed two runs on five hits with six strikeouts.

 

ASTRO FALCONS KEEP UP THEIR STRENGTH

STRUTHERS OH- It’s been a typical dominant start  in Class B Baseball for the 18U Astro Falcons.  They continued to flex their muscles on Wednesday night as they cruised to a 8-3 win against Avalanche.

Jay Wrona put his name in the stat line quite a bit for the Falcons. He carried multiple hits in his total on a 2-4 day with 2 RBI.  Justin Weaver also a pair of RBI on a 1-4 day.  Jacob McGuire found his way on base every time he stepped to the plate. He went 1-1 with 3 walks and a RBI.

Luke McCoy did more than enough to get the win on the mound for the Falcons. He threw 5 innings and gave up 2 earned runs on 4 hits.  He was able to sit down 5 hitters.

Santino Piccirilli swung his way to a 1-3 day with a RBI.  Nolan Reichard did collect a RBI despite not collecting a hit.  Jacob Mattocks also went 1-3 on the day on the offensive side.

ATHLETIX TURNS UP THE HEAT

STRUTHERS OH- After a few days off with weather delays the Athletix 18U team showed absolutely no signs of rust Wednesday night.  They fought their way to an impressive 5-2 win over Knightline.

Gavin Wilms put together a strong day at the plate for Athletix knocking in 2 runs on a 1-3 day.  Gavin Fallgrin was 1-2 on the night including a run driven in.  Evan Tice also went 1-2 on the day with a run scored and a RBI.  Tice drew one of eight total walks for the Athletix offense.

Wilms got the win on the bump for Athletix. He went 5 innings and gave up just 1 earned run on 6 hits. He was able to strike out 4 hitters on the way to his win.

Santino Ciambotti was Knightline’s big source of offense going 1-3 with a RBI.  Ty Eberhardt was on fire going 4-4 at the plate. Logan Cayavec was another hitter on the day with multiple hits going 2-3 with a walk.

PROSPECTS PUT ON A BIG SHOW

STRUTHERS OH- After a few days of rain, everyone was itching to get back on the field at Cene Park. It was the Prospects 18u team that came back to action with a bang on Wednesday night pounding their way to a 12-2 win over Dura Edge.

Matt Mroz had himself a day at the plate finishing with a perfect 3-3 effort. He knocked in 3 RBI on the day as well.  Avery Malley knocked in a pair of a 1-3 day.  Dura Edge couldn’t figure out how to retire Robert Gumino as he went 2-2 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored. He’d add a RBI to that total as well.  Prospects also got RBI’s from Anthony Roper and Brendan Ray.

Gumino also brought it on the mound. He lasted 4 innings and only gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits.  He struck out a pair. Carter Knupp put in 2 innings of work giving up a run on 4 hits.

Matt Boccieri got himself a RBI for Dura Edge collecting a multiple hit day going 2-3.  Parker Dobson was also able to pick up a RBI.

CREEKSIDE HAS LAST LAUGH IN A POWER FEST

STRUTHERS, OHIO- In what was a high scoring affair Wednesday night The Whiting Roll-Offs snuck by Creekside Fitness 15-12.

The Roll-Offs were led by Nick Parrotto, Mike Delduca, Matt Delduca, and Hunter Lively, who all had multiple hits at the plate.

Creekside also had several players with multiple hits including Braeden D’Angelo, Ray Altmeyer, Jason Nuttridge, Tyler Mikulin, and Braden Zeigler. The winning pitcher of the night was Nick Thomas, who allowed nine runs on twelve hits with two strikeouts.

The losing pitcher of the night was Andrew Kali, who allowed eight runs on nine hits with one strikeout.

BALLISTIC LOADS UP ANOTHER WIN

STRUTHERS, OHIO- Ballistic Baseball snuck out a victory Wednesday at Bob Cane Park as they took down Eagle Wear 7-4.

In the losing effort, Eagle Wear was led at the plate by Jacob Hannie, who went 3 for 4 and by Aidan Bowser, who went 2 for 3.

Ballistic Baseball was led by Ian Wong, who went 2 for 3 at the plate. On the mound, the winning pitcher of the evening was Colin Crawford, who allowed four runs on seven hits with ten strikeouts. The losing pitcher of the evening was Stargell Fuhr, who allowed seven runs on six hits with seven strikeouts. 

AVALANCHE TURN IN GRADE A PERFORMANCE

STRUTHERS, OHIO- The Avalanche ran away Saturday evening at Bob Cene Park as they topped the Atheltix 15-3.

The Avalanche was led by Kyle Hurley, who went 2 for 5 and scored 2 runs. Zach Pleska led the Athletix at the plate going 2 for 2 in the losing effort.

Tyson Djakovich was the winning pitcher of the evening allowing three runs on five hits with seven strikeouts. The losing pitcher of the evening was Riley McElwain, who allowed nine runs on four hits with five strikeouts. 

BALLISTIC BRINGS HOME NARROW VICTORY

STRUTHERS, OHIO- In what was a close battle all the way to the end, Ballistic Baseball just snuck away with a 8-7 win over Creekside Fitness.

Ballistic was led at the plate by Donavan Sullivan, who went 3 for 4, Josh Wolf, Ian Wong, and Brady Harman, who all went 2 for 4 at the plate. Creekside was led by Keelan Stewart, who went 3 for 4 at the plate.

Nick Magnifico was the losing pitcher of the night with seven runs on six hits allowed with three strikeouts. Gabe Rusnak was the winning pitcher of the night with four runs with eleven hits allowed with strikeouts. 

PROSPECTS SQUEEZE THEIR WAY TO A WIN

STRUTHERS OH- In a game that was pretty even the whole way, it was the Prospects that snuck by Whiting Roll Offs 9-8.

Grady Harbaugh had a monster day in the box for the Prospects as he knocked in 4 runs on a 2-3 day.  Ethan Petak also earned a multiple hit day going 2-4 with a RBI and 2 runs scored.  Landon Turner also had multiple hits earning a 2-3 mark.  Anthony Roper swung in a RBI with a 1-3 effort.

Aiden Leiendecker had a solid day for Whiting despite the loss. He hit in 3 RBI going 2-4 and crossed the plate once. Vinny Pezzulo lit up the scoreboard going 1-2 with a walk, a run scored, and a RBI.
